Matthew 25:35-36
"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.
About Us

Urban Outreach, Inc. (UOI) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization.  We fulfill our mission through a range of programming targeting at-risk children, the chronically unemployed or underemployed, and low-income apartment residents.  Our holistic approach to the family touches all of its members by providing activities and services through programs that meet their spiritual, physical, social, and educational needs.  Our vision is to see the Houston community transformed through the lifestyle changes of individual residents resulting in stronger, healthier families.

Several local churches formed what was to be UOI in the early 1990’s in a collaborative effort to expand their outreach to the community.  What began as an ad-hoc effort among several partnering churches to reach out to local public schools and low-income apartment dwellings blossomed into a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to strengthening and preserving families across Houston.

UOI serves clients in apartment complexes, area schools, and several community centers.  Urban Outreach, Inc. is supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees, staff, and program volunteers as well as churches, foundations, corporations, and individuals.
